SUBMISSIONS FOR NEW TIMES’ MASTERMIND AWARDS 2017 NOW OPEN
Are you a local artist, filmmaker, musician, or dancer? Do you have a unique perspective or challenging project that you think deserves recognition? If so, you should apply for New Times’ MasterMind Award. Every year, we offer monetary grants and well-deserved exposure to creatives across Miami.
Last year, New Times awarded performance artists Juleisy Y Karla, Lighting Specialist Jason Boogie, and artist Magnus Sodamin grants. Previous MasterMind finalists include Borscht Film Festival cofounder Andrew Hevia, filmmaker Julian Yuri Rodriguez, visual artist Kevin Arrow, and musician Otto Von Schirach.
If you’d like to join the well-respected MasterMind ranks, you need to apply.
Winners will each receive a grant worth $750 at New Times’ annual celebration of culture in the Magic City. Eight (8) finalists, including the three (3) winners, will be featured in an issue of New Times. But wait — there’s more! MasterMind finalists will also receive exhibition space at Artopia, giving them the opportunity to present their work to their fellow 305 creatives.
Sounds great, right?
